AGC Names Jeff Harmon Head of West Coast Investment Banking

Thursday, November 01, 2007 - Boston, MA (November 5, 2007)—America’s Growth Capital, a national, emerging growth-focused, research, trading and investment banking partnership, announced today the hiring of Jeff Harmon as Partner and Head of West Coast Investment Banking. Harmon will lead the firm’s investment banking practice from its new Redwood City, CA office with a focus on emerging-growth technology sectors.

In his twenty-year investment banking career, Harmon has completed more than 200 transactions for leading technology companies such as Dell, Veritas, Pixar, BEA, RIM, Tibco and SAS. Prior to joining America’s, he was a Managing Director in the Technology, Media and Telecom division of Freidman, Billings, Ramsey Group. Previously, Harmon had been Managing Director and Head of the Global Technology Group of RBC Capital Markets. Before joining RBC Capital Markets, he led SG Cowen’s Technology Group and was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Earlier in his career, Harmon worked at Merrill Lynch in San Francisco and at Morgan Stanley in New York. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, he has been named by Upside Magazine as one of the Nations Top 100 “most influential business leaders.”
